I believe that images are the primary currency of our memory. As memories fade, photographs take their place. It is for this reason that whenever I work, I hold one principle close: my job is to assist, enhance, and ultimately shape the memory of my clients. Writing another's memory is a privilege I take with great care.
When I show up, I aim to take pictures that make life look more vivid when viewed in retrospect, to capture photographs that evoke even more nostalgia than our memory can. I pay particular attention to fleeting facial expressions and body language, which I believe best reflect the relationships between people and their environment. I'm always on guard for once-in-a-lifetime moments that exist for mere milliseconds (the duration of a single shutter click), and sometimes I luck out.
